Internet Data Speed is Extremely Slow

Prior to me upgrading to the unlimited data plan I had the XL plan which offered 16gb of data which was amazing. After the upgrade to Unlimited data my data speed went from 38mps to 0.22mps.. this is a joke. its been like this for a couple montha now and this is unacceptable. I have only been using on average 7gbs a month and now i can't even use anything because everything keeps saying its timed out or no network connection. If this is going to turn into the same situation as Tmobile when they released the unlimited no contract option I will have to find a new carrier to use.

Update.. now its gone down to .02mps.. can someone at Verizon please explain to me what is going on before I start processing a carrier transfer or downgrade my internet to nothing since i can't use it

If on the unlimited plan there is potential data reprioritization at 22GB on smartphones and 10GB on "data-only" devices. Have you hit either of these amounts? What kind of device are you referring to this occuring to?

You have the option of course in switching to a plan that gives an allowance like the XL plan you stated you had before if you prefer that....

Everyone I know in the 96041 area code has is getting an average of 0.08 mbps download.  Literally the worst service I have ever experienced.  It's like being on an old dial up modem.  Verizon knows about this and isn't even trying to address or fix the issue.  They just say "we would like to ask a few additional questions to get a better understanding of what's specifically taking place. What zip code are you located in? Are there any other customers in your area that are experiencing the same speeds lately?"

Multiple reports of slow data would indicate....to me....a cell tower is overloading or experiencing some sort of hardware issues.

If the problem is more widespread, Verizon Wireless might have a problem with network congestion.

We will always ask a few certain questions first to determine the possible nature of the problem. We're sorry if those repetitive. They're that way intentionally. How long have you been experiencing your problem? Have you noticed any pattern, like certain times you experience these slow speeds? Certain apps being used, etc?

I'm in 92867 and I get .002 that's horrible. And we have atleast 6 towers within a mile radius

I and everyone I know have had this issue for over a month maybe 2.  I notice no pattern other than the service is basically unusable.  Speed tests, downloads from any source and streaming music or any kind of video is basically impossible at 0.05 mbps.  Getting simple emails out is a challenge.  I also have no choice as to my provider where I live since Verizon is the only service available in my neck of the woods.
