In contract customer, The Verizon Plan, subsidies and installments..

Think I have a decent understanding of how this would work. Just curious, if when switching while in contract, can I get another phone through installment plan? I understand they charge 40 a line for in contract switches instead of 20 to cover the subsidies I would owe until my contract runs out. So then shouldn't I be able to get a phone on payments if I wanted? I did call Verizon to ask this and several other questions I had, she knew less of the new plan than I did. She said I would NOT be eligible for installments, but considering she seemed to know very little (and told me as much "this plan is new and there is a lot I am still unclear on") is she correct about doing payments if I switch?

You can change the plan but you will pay the $40 line access fee untill the line(s) is/are out of contract and you can not get a new device just by changing to this plan.

I think what confuses a lot of people is that they do not seperate the service plan (more everything/verizon/nationwide PLANS) that you pay for your service (talk/text/data) and a device payment or 2 year contract.
