I preordered my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 yesterday (10/8) and it says it will ship by 10/23. Does that mean I wont get it until after 10/23 even though it is released on 10?

I dont understand why I would receive it at a later date than the release date if I preordered it. Does anyone know why?
