I phone 8 sudden won’t let me make calls?

Hi, out of the blue I cannot make phone calls ..I’m getting a different error message every time I try to call someone. What should I do? Tried turning it off and back on ....- thanks

Being able to make/receive calls is important. I am concerned to learn that you were having trouble. Where are you currently located (city, state)? How are the other services (texts, data)? Do you know of others?

Thank you, but I think it had something to do with an “outage” that came out in the news a day or two later. It was not caused by Verizon evidently ,but by another cell company.
