It is all over the place, none of the big 4 are true 4G. What is ATT? HSPA+ Which is a juiced up 3G. It was originally named 3.5G But it is faster than 3G

AT&T has some locations with LTE now, but nowhere near as many places as their HSPA+ network.

They do not promote the new limited sites as ATT says HSPA+ is 4G

That doesn't surprise me, honestly.

Directly in my area, At&t has 4G LTE. That's what it showing on the map but outside of my area it just says 4G so that's good to know. I wil give Verizon until early next year to bring 4G LTE in my area and if they don't then At&t it is.

It is awesome they have true 4G where you live, If me without unlimited data, I probably would  switch without waiting. VZW is still building out their 4G network, then they will start filling the holes in existing 4G areas.

Verizon has excellent service down here, don't get me wrong. It's just that not having 4G is getting to me considering that At&t and C Spire has it down here. There isn't even a Verizon store down here anymore, they just packed up and left without a warning so It gives me the impression that Verizon doesn't care about my small town of 8,000. I live in an extended 4G area and what that means is if the conditions are right and if I'm in the right spot then I A"might" get 4G and what I'm wondering is if I live in an extended 4G area, will they upgrade it or just say that area has 4G, we not going to mess with it.

If you can get 3G and extended 4G now, Verizon Wireless will fill in those gaps in the coverage of 4G. When is the biggest question.
