ok, is it 4 months to upgrade, or 4 months till contract end?
you can upgrade at month 20 of a 24month contract
if its 4 months until actual upgrade i don thtink they will do anything for a new phone.
you can howver get a refurb.
but call customer service and ask.
or reactivate an olderphone you have, get one from a friend, ect.
this is one reason i always have a spare or 2 laying around

It is upgrade. I think I will try and if the answer is no, then I will check out ebay. The old phones I have do not work..I have already tried. Doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks.

Be careful if you get one from ebay or elsewhere online. Make sure you get an email at least from the email address on the ebay sellers account stating that the device works and is not flagged as lost or stolen or from an unpaid account, been there done that.

yeah...you want to look for one that states "clean ESN" in the description or ad....and from a highly rated seller.

Ebay should be a scary option just because of the likelihood of getting a stolen phone. If you call, there is apparently a loyalty group that may have a better option for upgrade. Articles through cnet and a few others have pointed this option out. Worth a look.

Might check swappa.com too. I think they have stricter limits on phones and require that the phone have a clean ESN.
