This is to report that there is a hole in the cell coverage in Holland, MI, near the corner of 17th Street and River Avenue. Occasionally, 4Glte will give a bar for a few seconds, and sometimes 3G will give a bar, but most of the time I'm lucky to get 2 bars of basic service... which then fade. Calls drop. This is outside, with multiple phones (DROID RAZR Maxx, Samsung Galaxy SIII, others). Don't even bother trying, indoors... Verizon's new "if something is going to work, it should work in more places in your house than just one corner" commercial notwithstanding. That commercial makes me laugh. In an angry way.
In any case, a quarter mile in any direction and we get better, more reliable service. Right around this neighborhood, though, there's nothing. It's like someone drew a Venn diagram but left a place at the center of the circles that contains no intersection or overlap.
Which doesn't help.
Bump. Still terrible service. As in... no service.

Just saw that Verizon commercial again... "If it's supposed to work, it should just work. Because better matters."
It does. Matter, that is. It does matter. It just doesn't work.
