I'm italian and I'm planning a coast to coast trip in july. The question is: can i buy a prepaid plan and use it on my smartphone? I tried to buy the plan by the Verizon online shop but it asks for IMEI code and it looks like the IMEI code of my phone is not recognized.
It may be because your phone is not compatible with Verizon's prepaid plans.
First of all, Verizon does not allow 4G phones on their pre-paid service. Verizon is also hesitant to allow phones not sold specifically for the Verizon network on the network.
If your phone utilizes a SIM card, you may want to try either T-Mobile or AT&T.
