Hey,
Yea i received a text from that same number this morning but it said something different. I've got things like this in the past so I know their just scams but it's interesting how they get our personal cell phone numbers.
My text said: "(From: PRM) Congratulations! You have been randomly selected to receive an account Credit, please visit http://doiop.com/vpro23"

@ohokcool,
I can understand how frustrating and annoying these message can get so I'm here to help make them stop!
You can report these spam text by forwarding them to 7726. You will then get a free text message asking for the number this text is coming from. We will then work on getting these spam text stopped.
You can also visit http://vz.to/1fcN3KW to watch a great video on how to stop other internet and text spam.
I'm here if you need further assistance.

I just did. I figured it was bogus since I was in the middle of texting and a call when it came in.
The text showed:
(From:Verizon) Your VZW account is disabled by reasons of security enter link (some phony looking hyperlink verizondata.site.bz) and confirm your data
What dummies. But I bet over half the people that get this give up their information.
Additionally, all the texts I have received from Verizon regarding account information come from a different prefix of numbers
