Get recently changed phone number back

Hello Everyone,

I recently changed my phone number through the Verizon Wireless Services (I have a line on our family plan). Making a long story short I was attempting to port my number to Google Voice, and then switch phone numbers so that I could avoid the hefty termination fee. (I recently got a Nexus 5 that is incompatible on Verizon). When I initiated the port, I entered the wrong billing PIN without realizing it. I quickly changed my number through Verizon wireless and suspended the line. When the PIN failed and I reentered it, it seems that it was too late because I get a message about contacting Verizon. So... here I am. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed and I don't feel like waiting on the phone for 3 hours+

Is there anyway I can get my old number back (xxx-xxx-xxxx)? This all happened about an hour ago. I've done my research and it seems unlikely but I figured I would ask..

The sad part is, this method was proven to work for many others but I typed in the wrong PIN lol
