Foreign SIM Cards and "Global" phones.

Months ago, I called Verizon's International team to specifically ask about using a foreign SIM card in my phone. I had seen reports that some Android devices had some APN update issues, so I *specifically* asked about that and was told it had been resolved. Well, it's a good thing I had the APN database with me, because it seems my phone didn't want to update automatically when it got on the UK T-Mobile network. Once I added the entry, the phone worked fine.

To make things worse, my mother has a Verizon iPhone with no APN anything in the menus. So she has a brick of an iPhone 5S, after again specifically asking if the phone would work with a foreign SIM.

We have absolutely no interest in paying Verizon's roaming fees, and there is no reason, other than sheer greed that these phones should have been this much trouble.

Seriously Verizon, this is ridiculous.
