Not sure how to handle this. I cancelled a payment scheduled on my Veriizon account. cancelled two day before date. I received a confirmation and an conformation email. see below. It still went through since I didn;t expect it caused overdraft charges I was just told to dispute the charges at my bank. the issue is not my bank but payment on the website.
