Employee discounts

I have just received notification to verify my employment and ran across this discussion group.  I am retired, still receiving my income from the USPS and paying union dues and purchasing medical insurance from my employer.  It seems Verizon is not honoring this. What is Verizon's position on USPS retirees. Who do I contact.  Bottomline, if Verizon is not going to honor this and cannot find another equal discount on this I will seriously consider changing my 9 phone lines from this company due to the response I have had over several issues during the past year.  NO resoution on any of them has been to my satisfaction.

Retiree discounts are offered by the company itself. If you fill out a verification form and get denied, it would be because the employer discontinued those discounts. So to answer your question directly, you would contact USPS about retiree discounts. Unfortunately it's not in Verizons hands

sokeen1,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are happy to clarify any confusion with discounts. We do offer discounts to retirees, but it is dependent on the contract with that specific company. You will need to reach out to your employer to see if they offer a package for retired employees. If so they will be able to provide you the proper forms to provide us to verify. We certainly do not want to see you go, so if you are not eligible for the discount we can always review your account for options to help. Please keep us updated on this, because we are here to help.

Thank you,
