Hey. You will more than likely be like many others Verizon " victims of a lie. " If the plan is a "SPECIAL" they have, like the $60 single line plan or I believe the EDGE plans, they will NOT give it to you. Even though they will tell you that you will. This is exactly what they do. Type in "verizon Lies" or "verizon employee discount lies" into your browser. They will tell you it takes 1 to 2 billing cycles to show up and Never does. They did this to me. Three different times by three different people,I even have a copy of the live chat stating such. I was told I would get it. However if you buy their overpriced accessories,the discount will come off instantly. Good luck.
actually its not a lie. The terms and conditions clearly state what plans qualify for the employee discount. the employee discount is determined between your employer and verizon. If you dont like what your employer is willing to pay for talk to them. Single line plans and loyatly plans are not coevered under most employee discounts, well because they are already discounted plans. dont listen to dielaughign or anyone else who complains about the discount. they just didnt do there research and are blame everyone else type of people
I talked with a Verizon wireless agent. Turns out the plan I am on signal line I am on does not qualify for a discount. I was told by ( like many others) the sales person who sold me the plan that my bill would be so much off. My employment was verified and everything! I was not complaining about my plan. I was complaining about being told one thing and find out another three months later. This is wrong business practice, I was and still am on the verge of cutting my service off!
Hey, Jim356. I am sorry they got you also. This is a story that is told repeatedly. Some people condone the lying, or refer to it as NOT intentional. Whatever the case, it is continuing and wrong. Some people like to put the blame on the customer. Crazy. Verizon hires, pays, trains, and relies on there employees/salespeople, to make them money. And yet some bloggers say we are expecting too much, or not researching the plans. This is not the case. When 3 verizon salespeople tell you that you and the plan are eligible, and you sign a contract, why should it fall back on the customer? I wonder about these people that are defending this practice. Some of the stuff they say is crazy.
Same thing happened to me... I verify twice to different people... Our company offers 22% discount for their employee... So when I switched to Verizon, I was told that the 22% discount will be taken out of the data plan that I will be subscribing... later did i find out when I validated my employment, I was only given 5%, when all my other co-workers have 22% discount... I don't understand the discrepancy!
