Early Termination - T-Mobile unlimited data promotion

I am looking to move to T-Mobile, as they have 4 lines for $150 promotion with unlimited minutes and Data. I have four smartphones ( one unlimited data grandfathered but at $50 for data now). With Verizon and corporate discount my bill is $260 - it just does not make sense any more to stay with Verizon - they are pricing themselves too high. We are test driving one T-Mobile to see how the reception is in South Orange County, CA and it has been very nice - their claims of improved coverage and data speeds appear to be accurate.

I do have one S5 still under contract till 7/16/2016 and wanted to see what is the termination fee?

Thanks,

Alex

You have to send a follow request to the individual username of Deloresk_vzw, but I couldn't find it when searching for it to mention it which adds the hyperlink to their profile. Once they get the follow request, they have to accept it. After they accept it, you can send them a Direct Message (DM) which is a private message within the community forum.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Always go with the carrier best suited for your budget and coverage and feature needs.

If your contract results from your purchase of an advanced device prior to November 14, 2014, your early termination fee will be $350 minus $10 for each full month of your contract term that you complete. Cancellations will become effective on the last day of that month's billing cycle, and you are responsible for all charges incurred until then. Also, if you bought your wireless device from an authorized agent or third–party vendor, you should check whether they charge a separate termination fee.

Your ETF right now is around $150.

We would hate for a loyal customer to leave us, AlexF19. Having an option to lower your bill is always great. Please understand that we invest in our Network to make sure you have the best cellular and data service. We can definitely review your account to make sure you are on the best plan. We can also look up the S5 for you. However, we are in a public forum right now and we need to move you to private. Can you send us a Facebook Private Message or Twitter Direct Message?

It is advertised as UNLIMITED - same as my one grandfathered plan with

The $150 Simple Choice "deal" ($50/mo per line for 3 lines, 4th line "free") includes 2GB of 4G LTE data - to get truly unlimited 4G LTE, it's $95 per line.

As per the website:

It's simple. Every qualifying Simple Choice line comes with:

No annual service contract & no data overages

Unlimited data even after all your high-speed 4G LTE data is used, at reduced speeds.

Unlimited calls and text to and from any number, including mobile phones, in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. PLUS use your monthly 4G LTE data in Mexico and Canada like in the U.S., at no extra charge

Let me correct the above - that is for the standard Simple Choice plan... there is currently a promo deal going on.

How does this offer work?

For a limited time, we are amping up our Simple Choice plans so you get more data for the same price. Now get 2 or more lines of Unlimited 4G LTE for the price of a 10GB plan, or 10GB for the price of 6GB. PLUS, customers loved our 4th Line Free promotion so much that we brought it back!  For a limited time, customers on a Simple Choice plan with 10GB or Unlimited 4G LTE data can get a 4th line free.

Who is eligible for the 4th line free?

Anyone with 3 lines on a Simple Choice plan with 10GB or Unlimited 4G LTE data is eligible for a 4th line free.

So it's $80 per line for the unlimited, or $240 for 4 lines including the free line.  And the free line only comes into play with 10GB or unlimited levels, as I read it.  The promo blurbs don't make this clear....at all.  It does sound (and looks!) like evenat $50/line, you  get a 4th line free, but the terms and FAQ below the big blurb say differently.

I see this on this webpage:  Unlimited Family Plan | Family Data Plans with Unlimited 4G | T-Mobile
