Here's how to find the webpage where you can ENable or DISable various features.
Once you've logged in to your Verizon account, a little bit below the top of the screen you'll see four icons:
'Wireless', 'Safe Guards', 'Contacts', 'My Media'
Click on 'Safe Guards'
After you've been redirected to the next webpage, you'll see this sentence:
"You can restrict purchase of data services including Ringback Tones and application downloads"
Underneath that sentence you'll see 'Add/Remove Blocks'
Click on 'Add/Remove Blocks' and now you'll be taken to a screen where you can ENable or DISable blocks for different features for each phone number [if you have more than one phone number on your Verizon plan]

You can remove the actual data package, but I did not find a way to physically block it. Looks like you'll have to call customer care
