Disable outgoing international calls from the USA

Hi There

How can I disable my line to make any international calls ?

I have been charged for calls made acidentally   

my plan: GoUnlimited 

iphone xs max

Were they able to disable the outgoing international calls from the US?  I'm talking to a Verizon rep now that is telling me there is no way to do that.  Thanks
