I have had to replace 2 cell phones because the charger no longer will insert in the port. Is there a general product problem

I have had two phones that I have had to replace because it was impossible to insert the charger into the port on the phones. First was the Revere (the replacement phone) I do not know version the original was. The second was replaced by the Oosmos. I have just returned the original Octane and the substitute Cosmos, as it was horribly configured. I see a trend no in having to replace phones after a while because the charger will not insert into the ports.
