Changing Plans

So i was on the phone today with a rep from verizon. Needless to say i am quite upset. I have been a customer with Verizon for over 15 years and i have never ran into this issue.

So i called to find out if i could change my plan to the new Play more plan. Since this will make my bill a little cheaper. After talking with the rep and getting everything set up to change it. I was told that i cannot change the plan due to me living in an area that does not have an actual verizon tower. So basically im stuck in an older plan and paying more than most to have verizon as my service.

How does verizon plan to keep customers, especially long time customers like myself who have spent thousands with them over the years, if they cannot make a simple change to my plan?

I bet if i was a new customer to verizon that there would have been no issue in getting the plan that i want. But sadly it seems that everytime i call for something, i always get the runaround and cant get done what i am requesting.

Did you try to change it online, no human involved?

I did, it wont even give me the option. The only option i have to change anything on the plan is to lower the GB usage. Nothing else.

It doesn't make business sense to support customers that are costing the company. That has nothing to do with being a new customer or not.
