Exactly! The rollover data should be used first. Very deceptive, and customer service misled me on this as well. They told me that the rolled over data gets used before they start reducing your current month's data.

No it souldn't. So say you're ona 16 GB plan and you only use 8 GB. So 8 rollover and 16 GB regualr data for the next onth. If you only use 8 GB that month and rollover is used first then the next month you'd have 16 GB rollover plus 16 GB regular. So 32 GB. Rollover is meant for times hen you go over your regualr data. If you need more data get a plan with more data or get an ulimtied plan

Here, here!  I simoly can not understand the people who are here arguing against this. Consumers arguing against other consumers for a company that is being deceptive. It's absolutely bizzare to say the least.

Regardless, this is a legitimate consumer complaint.  If I am paying for 5 GB/month with a carry over plan.  I naturally expect that if I wisely manage my data I should be rewarded with carrying over that unused data over to be used at my pleasure.  There is no need to expire them so quickly.  Maybe if it was every 12 months or so, that might make sense.  But as it is, it generates unexpected limits between months.  For instance, last month, I used 1 GB of my 5GB plan.  Carried over 4 GB.  So I have 9 GB for this month to use.  As the month is wrapping up I have used 3 GB of the 9GB.  Now next month, I will only have 5GB - 3GB = 2GB rollover.  Giving me a 7GB data limit instead of the expected 11 GB.  This is bizarre.

Seriously, if anyone replies with anything that supports this deceptive practice, any rational person can only assume that they are either 1) a paid company rep or 2) an unpaid weirdo super fan/shill of a telocom which in and of itself is purely insane.

WRONG. The whole notion that "You don't agree with me so you are an employee or a paid shill" is rediculous. How arrrogant of a person to think " I'm right therfor you MUST be being paid by the 'other side' " That's borderline narcissism right there. Heck I could accuse YOU of being a paid plant for T-Mobile or At&T trying to lure customers away. I mean accusing one of being a shill reeks of projection.

The carryover terms( whether you agree with them or not ) are on the website for anyone to see. it has nothing to do with if I see them as fair or unfair. They are what they are and you're not being "tricked" when you can go veiw the terms. Verizon doesn't HAVE to have carryover. Once again it has nothing to do with whether I think they should or not. They DO NOT have to have it.

If you think Verizon is shady and unfair why are you giving them hundreds of $$ every month. Now THAT is weird. "Hey company that I believe is evil and greedy and corrupt. Here is a large sum of my money." There are other carriers no one is forcing you to stay.

Do Verizon employees manage the milk in the refigerator the way they manage carryover minutes?  Open the new bottle and use it first, then if you use up the whole new bottle and the old bottle is still good, use the rest of the old bottle?

Carry over data is definitely not a scam and should be an enjoyed benefit of our plans that include it. We'd be glad to help address any concerns.

Hitchc, we want to ensure that your data is deducting correctly. Can you elaborate on what happened so that we cab best assist?

Verizon's  Carryover plan is more of a scam. A scam by any other name is still a scam.   It is designed in their favor. AT&T uses the carryover data first. Then your  allowed data. That way. You enjoy the benefit of what you don't use.  I came from  AT&T to verizon. The salespeople misled  me. They misled  me in their $ 300 bonus for a new phone, they misled me in $10 off for autopay. I feel  completely  cheated. They just lied to me ouright. Only a class action lawsuit will fix this behavior.

mgtgroup, it's truly disheartening to learn that you've had such negative experiences with us. It's surely not our intention to mislead our customers. I have sent you a Private Message so we can review your concerns, together. We look forward to working with you, there.  TanishaS_VZW

'Rollover Data is used only after the full data allowance for your AT&T Mobile Share Advantage or AT&T Mobile Share Advantage for Business plan in the current bill cycle is used. Once you exceed your plan's current allowance, you'll automatically start using your available Rollover Data. If all monthly plan data and Rollover Data are used, an additional allotment of overage data is automatically charged to your account. Overage data does not roll over.'

So that's a negative. Carryover works the same way.

$300 off sounds like over time credits as in $300 / 24 months. Promos with these requirements will say so clearly. Even if a rep doesn't mention, it's viewable by you online with all disclosures made public.

Lastly $10 off for autopay clearly lists for unlimited data plans and Verizon makes an emphasis that you need autopay with your bank + paperless billing. All the disclosures are out in the open. It's up to you as the customer to read them.

I agree. It happened to me where I have over 4Gigs carried over from an 8 gig plan. The next month we used all but a half of gig left, so instead of carrying over 4.5 gigs, they just carried over the half gig. So all the effort to save data the previous month went for not.

This IS a scam. If I have data from January, I should still have it available in June. The gift

Ever heard the saying, "don't look a gift horse...."  Well you should be smelling hay and oats.

Funny how nobody complains when they have no rollover.  But the carrier gives an inch and all they get is ungrateful customers.

So, why don't you stay on the previous plan, then you have nothing to complain about.
