Can a phone hot spot allow a computer access the internet?

Does Version have a service that will allow my home computers and tablets access the internet?

If so is it cost effective and reasonably fast?

There are options, but have you already exhausted all of the landline based Internet service options?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

If your computer can connect to WiFi then yes it can gain access through hot spot on your phone.  However, it is going to use your data from your plan so depending on your plan it may or may not be a good idea.  As far Verizon having service for this, yes they do.  They sell individual hot spots that can be added to your plan.  The pricing, and allowed data is going to depend on what plan you have chosen, so without that information its hard to give an idea if it is cost effective or not.  As far as reasonably fast, its going to depend on your location, and again your plan.  Most unlimited plans have a cap on high speed data, then can be lowered depending on traffic in your area.

Hi, ROYBAR77.

Ann154 had posed a great question. Cell phone service is not intended to be a primary source of internet for your home. Have you checked with landline internet companies to see what the best option for you is?

With that said, we do have solutions such as the Mobile Hotspot and even a 4G LTE Router, which can be at home. These options are geared for consumers that use low amounts of data or need an options to compliment to home service (traveling or outages). https://www.verizonwireless.com/plans/connected-device-plans/

A dedicated hotspot only gets you 15GB of decent speed before it becomes unusable if you go unlimited. Alternatively, you can drop 150 for a 40GB plan and then deal with eventual overages of 15 per GB over.

Verizon mobile data is a terrible alternative to a proper internet solution.
