Can I upgrade to a 4G hotspot on an Unlimited Data Plan?

I currenty have a 3G hotspot on my account with unlimited data. I already have a 4g hotspot I purchased on amazon that I would like to switch to without being forced to change my unlimited plan. How would I do that

You can't. All 4G LTE broadband devices like dedicated hotspots require a tiered data plan. They can't be activated on a grandfathered 3G unlimited broadband data plan. The system simply won't allow it.
