I wonder why it is that all my calls ring UNLESS it is Verizon Executive Offices calling me. Never rings. Screen lights up to the lock screen and straight to voicemail it goes. Wonder why they won't let me answer and always want me to call them back. Of course, they mumble their name and then speed-speak through the callback number and 7-8 digit extension number. I have already handled them via callback, but I just wondered why VZW uses a straight-to-VM call approach.

What would happen if you new they will be calling and have call forwarding turned on to a different number so you can get them. Of course a lot of effort just to prove a point... Very interesting they do that though.

Interesting theory. But, I believe it is an automated pickup hang up situation on their end. I'm sure they listen to the voicemail greeting to see if it is an automated number or a personalized greeting or just "your name." I would hope they wouldn't leave a message on a random voicemail box without verifying who they have reached.

Hopefully you can get ahold of them. Good Luck!

Verizon corporate has a method to leave a voicemail without actually letting the phone ring...like a pick up hang up tool.
