Is there a way to retrieve a security code for messaging other than my cell phone because my screen is black and I can't see anything...
That's a great question gcbfit. Are you trying to install Verizon Messages to another device to retrieve your text messages or are you using a third party application?

Thanks for the additional information gcbfit. Unfortuantely the initial security number will have to be sent via text to the cellphone line in question. So if the screen is blank, it would not work in this case. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Does the phone have any physical damage or anything?
