When you leave verizon do you have to pay your months bill along with the termination fees?

Unfortunately this is not true. Verizon does not give credit back if you port out/cancel your line for the month you have already paid.

If you have not yet come to your bill closing date, the cancellation will take effect on the last day of the billing cycle and you would only be liable for the ETF and any overage charges incurred within your current billing cycle.

If you have past your billing date and have yet to receive your bill, you would be liable for your entire monthly bill, the ETF and any overages.

you have to pay for any usage you've incurred. You will also have a credit for anything that you paid the month in advance and didn't use

and the early termination fee, of course
