Is it possible for the account owner line to disconnect from Verizon Wireless right after an account member line becomes the account owner?

Yes, that would be true. Did someone else take over financial responsibility for the account? Simply designating another line on the account as the account owner's line does not change the financial responsibility for the account unless you ALSO went to Verizon and had them do a credit check and change the name on the account to some one else. Of course, this would then disallow any employer discounts the original account owner was currently receiving.

It would also be true that the account owner's line could disconnect even while they are still the account owner. All that would happen would be that one of the other lines on the account would then be designated as the account owner's line. The same person would still be financially liable for the account, though, if all that was done was that a line of service was cancelled.
