I chatted online with a rep who was sympathetic but advised they have no idea when the system will be available. I'm trying to activate a replacement phone I received yesterday and am still without service. Has anyone had any experience with the other wireless carriers? Been with Verizon for 20+ years. Not sure how much longer I can wait.

I'm sorry....modern technology is not perfect. Are you gonna switch when the next provider has a tech glitch? For the op contacts for vzw are automatically stored in your phone unless you deleted them. Customer service is *611 from ur phone or 8009220204.

pherson, that's a bs response and, unless your 12, you should know that. I understand the tech problems occur, but leaving your costumers completely in the dark for days at a time is no way to run any business. You can't please everyone, but my experience is such that if communicate with your customers a bit about the issue and offer something in the way of expectations, most reasonable people would be willing to ride out the storm without issue. A message on the website or a text from the provider would be in line.

They have posted an announcement, here on the community, stating they're aware of an outage and are working at getting it repaired.
People expect too much from anything anymore. When my phone isn't working, I walk outside and get a breath of fresh air. I suggest you all do the same.

Might be smart to get a backup service for $10.00 a month (plus phone). After my contract is up, Vzn is gone. I have a 10 dollar unlimited talk and text and wifi data plan that is great - and (so far) has been up 100% of the time. Hubby is on a $25 plan with unlimited everything and loves it...join America via republic and save some bucks...at least until your Vzn contract is up...

That may be an option if high speed broadband were available in my area. Until then, Verizon is my only option, and when I say 'only', I mean, only!
