4g LTE service

Not entirely sure if this belongs here but had a question about my 4g service. My 4g keeps getting disconnected about every 30 seconds usually lasts for about 10-15 minutes and then ill be fine for about 30 mins then back to being disconnected every 30 seconds. Yes i have restarted my phone i have turned data on and off and airplane mode on and off. I was curious if this is a known issue or if there is something i can do to fix this. Im on a pantech breakout but i had the same issue before this on my old droid 2 with 3g service i assumed it was the phone but im still having the same issue with 4g.

Sounds like your area has reception issues. Where are you located?

Does it happen in just certain areas, not pretty much everywhere you go?

Hi, mine was doing this also and 'eating' up my data usage! I took it back  to the Verizon store and they  said to call their 800 number so they could send me a new device(recycled). They did this, and I had to send back the old device back or they would charge my account. Working OK now, maybe every now and then the internet will stop working. Be careful for the data usage, they do not roll over data from one monthe to the next! They will be quick to to charge your account for 1/10th's of usage over one  1G. FYI-There is another company who charges one flat fee for usage--you may need to investigate!

Sorry for the late reply im not concerned with the data usage aspect as i still have unlimited. as for my area im near the boston / natick ma area. as far as reception goes my call reception is perfect and i usually only use my data while at work and my partner here has at&t and never has any issues with his 4g.

Im not sure about certain areas as i only use my 4g at work and use wifi at the house but at work which is the boston / natick area i have this issue all the time through all hours of the night. I assumed it might be that if theres alot of people on it might be causing issues but im using it from 6pm to 6am i assume 2-5 am is slow time and i still have this issue.

It should not do that--after I received my new device, I have very few issues.I would return for a new one

Call reception doens't mean anything one way or another. They use different frequencies and different technologies. they have seprate radios. Same thing for at&t. I don't know about at&t coverage in Boston but most of thie "4g" is actually fake 4G.

im not entirely sure what you mean by fake 4g but if thats what im getting im a little mad seeing as by coverage map i should be getting real 4g but i will go into store this week when i get time and see about them giving me a new phone especially after reading the pantech breakout specific forum apparently its a giant piece of crap. and so hopefully i can get them just to give me a different brand phone like many others have and then hopefully this will resolve my issue.
