I know how important it is to be able to monitor a minor's usage on a device, especially one that has so many capabilities, such as the Motorola Droid 3!
Yes, there is a way you can restrict certain sites and content on the Droid 3. We offer a free feature called Content Filtering. I am including a link below with more details and instructions how to provision this feature.

Let me know how this works out for you!

I've had the same problem. I've changed to content filter SEVERAL times - it works for a while then it reverts back to not working. I can type in "porn" and get a whole bunch of x-rated stuff that I'm not supposed to be getting.
I'm looking into installing an app. I'll search on the Android Market and see if there is anything availabe.

eayoung06, I'm truly sorry if the Content Filtering isn't working for your specific device. I can understand how this could concern you. This wonderful feature provides customers a way to select a content level they feel is appropriate for each mobile number at no additional cost and is an important option for parents. There is one very specific reason the feature may not be working after set up or changes are made. Once you set up the Content Filtering feature or change the settings for a Palm, KIN, Apple or Android device you must turn that specific device off and back on for the web filtering change to take effect. I've found this to be the case when speaking with some of my customers regarding content filtering.
Just as a reminder, Android Market is blocked for C7 and T13 customers and YA17 customers have access to all Android Market content unfiltered. Additionally, C7 and T13 also block Google features such as search, google sync, google calendar, and google contacts.
For your convenience, I have listed the content filtering website below:
