Is Family Base compatible with an iPhone?

I'm doing the free trial of family base and so far I've had disappointing results Smiley Sad. I have a family share plan with unlimited talk & texts & 10 gb of  shared data. I also have restrictions on daughters phone to where only the numbers on the trusted list can call and text. However, it seems that she can still send messages to people not on the list and I can no longer track her location through the "find friends" app unless she's on wifi. With regards to my son's phone, I'm not getting any activity results/reports. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how was the problem resolved? I've been told this feature is not compatible with the iphones. Any truth to that?

The feature is compatible with iPhones, however Family Base can only block SMS/MMS messages as those use Verizon's servers. Other messaging platforms such as iMessage which BYPASS Verizon servers and instead use Apple's servers would not be affected.

The same would go for snapchat, twitter, facebook, etc... which would be bypassed on both android devices and iPhones.

The only way to possibly block those would be to cut off cellular data, but even then wifi data would not be affected. Bottom line is you have to place SOME trust in the people who have smartphones on  your account. If you can't, they shouldn't have a smartphone. Basic phones would not have as many options to bypass Family Base and TOTAL blockage of messaging platforms would be more complete.

This has been confirmed by both VZW and Apple. Apple has very tight security and does not allow this to work. Maybe one day they will, but right now it's just not very logical for iPhones. I would suggest using the Restrictions in Settings.

Settings>General>Restrictions

This isn't even close to FamilyBase but it's something.
