I have 250 for 5.00 with unlimited M/M text messaging.. Its all I need. when I go through the screens to upgrade my phone, It asks me to choose a new text plan with the lowest priced being 10.00. I dont want that, nor do I need it.. why?
The current text packages are as follows:
250 Messges (no unlimited mobile-to-mobile) - $5
500 messages + unlimited m2m - $10
5,000 messages + unlimited m2m - $20
It sounds like you are on an older, grandfathered package. Grandfathered plans are often not compatible with newer phones, so the phone you're choosing is probably not compatible with your current plan. If you go back to the phone selection screen in the upgrade process, you should see a green check symbol next to the phones that are compatible with you plan. Ultimately, you'll have to either choose a phone that is compatible, or give up your grandfathered plan.
