google voice. does verizon charge anything?

i just started using google voice to forward texts and calls to my verizon cell.  i should only be using my minutes and text from my plan right?  i dont want a big suprise at the end of the month

Yes, forwarded texts and calls are billed just like any other incoming texts and calls, so they will be billed according to your plan.
