If you have the restriction options in the phone, then no there is no option. For messaging, there is only the option to block all or allow all. You can always use the spam block features for free on your account.You can block up to a total of 5 numbers.
Okay, so how do I block all text messaging? I can't find it on the Verizon site.
On your phone, go t Menu>>Settings & Tools>>Phone Settings>>Security>>Restrictions>>then choose Messages (Incoming or Outgoing) and Allow all or Block all. The Service Lock code is the last 4 of your phone number by default.
You can also call customer service (*611 from your cell phone or 800-922-0204 from any phone) and as them to block texting.
