blocking calls and texts

i blocked a number on my sons phone and i was wondering:

1. does he know that i blocked the number...ie: did he receive a text saying this number was blocked

2. is he still able to call this number and text this number

3. if he tries to call this number doest he get a message stating that the number is blocked?

No, he will not receive a text message that the number was blocked. 

Yes, he will still be able to call and text this number.

If he calls the number the call goes through.

so the blocking happens only with the blocked number, which means no texting and no calls received from the blocked number?

 I don't believe that is totally correct. I just read the benefits of this option, and it clearly states that the child (or adult for that matter) will NOT be able to call the blocked number/s.......if it doesn't then it isn't worth the extra expense, in myhumble opinion

That is true for Usage Controls. Spam Call Blocking is free and does not block outgoing calls/texts to blocked numbers.
