Nexus 6P, stock Android, stock messaging app.

Happens sometimes at the same time with another valid text either sent or

received (same timestamp) or sometimes at random times not associated with

any valid text.

Looking at the log, it is my cell texting this number. This is also the same for my husbands cell. They all seem to happen after receiving a text. We do not use the Verizon Messaging just the pre-installed Messages ap that came with the phone.

It seems the general problem is none of us on this thread are using a texting app other than the one originally on the phone and yet when you look into our messaging logs EVERY text we receive or send out is, AT THAT SAME TIME FORWARDED to the number listed above. Most people would feel like thats a little scary and someone might have access to our personal information. I'm curious who is getting these messages and why. I've personally sent or received 150 texts so far this month if you look at my phone log but my Verizon account says my phone has sent DOUBLE that.

I'd like to see one (or more) of those messages if someone can either post it as an attachment or send it to me via a private message.  Suspicion is, that it might be related to Verizon being able to log texting on their servers for billing purposes and a recent update might have a glitch that is making these visible.

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...

I do believe that is essentially all that it is....  It's likely a number that is used internally (this number has come up linked to VZW previously) & is usually not visible or is suppressed/only used internally as a logging number for various applications internally....

That is the log of text messages, not the actual message. It does help to at least see what you're seeing and maybe a Verizon rep will take notice and pass it on to another level of tech support.  I'm suspecting you're not seeing those 'ghost' text messages in your phone's message log which is what would be nice to see, but they are probably suppressed.

AMBPUL45, we certainly want to get to the bottom of this as I know the importance of getting the right messages and notifications. Thank you so much to everyone for reaching out and taking time to troubleshoot. Can you confirm your device model as well? When exactly did this start? Have you ever used VErizon Messages with Integrated Messagaging in the past?
