What messages are allowed for the Env2? I know there is text messaging and picture messaging... what else?

Video messaging is also included in any text bundle you're paying for. Also, instant messaging services such as AOL Instant Messagner, Yahoo! and MSN are also included in a text bundle. You can send/receive updates from Twitter or Facebook too with the text bundle.
