Is there a way to get text messages right to my computer?

I am in Afghanistan and am trying to set up my iPad to be able to send and receive texts. I have installed the app but I need the security code that has been sent to my phone number. Is there a way I can view that text on my laptop?

I can understand the importance of having using of your device while traveling internationally Dennychimes. Unfortunately, there is no way to receive that message on your computer via text.
