When you send a text message how do you know if the person recieved the message. Number 2 . If you look online and view your To/From and you sent a message and in the box it says sent (was not changed to received) does that mean the person didnt get it or didnt look at it?

You cannot see if the person actually read the message. When sent from your wireless phone, there should be a check mark to indicate it was sent succesfully. You can even open the message in your sent section. Go to options-->Message info-->Look for status

For messages sent to another Verizon phone, you will see a green check mark, menaing successfully delivered to the receiving phone - there is no indication or any way of determining if it was actually read or not. A red X means it was not sent, for whatever reason.
For messages sent to a phone with another carrier, I get a green arrow for a message successfully SENT, no information on delivery, and again, no indication if it was read or not. A red X means it was not sent.
