Smiley faces in txts

I have a Bberry Storm.  When friends txt me it doesn't convert into a smiley face (yellow).  When I txt them , it converts to the yellow smiley face.

This is because the Storm does not have an emoticon list set up with the text messages. It only has a list set up with messenger. Your friends see the faces (which vary depending on the phone they have) because they have this list preset into their phone. Each model varies and the same smiley face isn't seen on a LG as it is on a Samsung. Sorry but the Storm doees not support this capability currently.
