Is there any way to find out what instant messaging applications use what short codes?

Google is your friend - there are several "Short code" listings available, or just google the specific short code you are interested in.

I tried googling a list but I can't seem to locate anything.

I also tried googling all the short codes that are appearing on my bill and I can't seem to find out which applications they are...so frustrating!

What are some of the short codes you are looking for?

http://www.usshortcodes.com/  will let you type in a code and it will search it for you

http://www.usshortcodeswhois.com/  is a listing of common codes

Thanks! I will check those websites out.

I was able to find one 0000242242-Chacha.

The others I can't seem to figure out are

4623

4626

4604

4610

Wait! I figured it out. The six digit short codes, 242242 and 246246 is the IM service itself.

The 0000004626, 4604, etc, are apparently new numbers that are assigned to each AIM contact.

Now it's a matter of blocking them.

Thanks for your help!
