To block spam you can do it from the vtext.com site or you can go to My Services> Verizon Safeguards> Spam Controls. You have more choices here than at the Vtext.com site. Internet spam blocking is Vtext.com text blocking (just renamed and easier to find). Plus you can block specific numbers from texting you.  Its all free.

 

The premium text blocking or usage controls would never have solved your problem.
