I am a former Alltel customer and this past weekend was our official merge to Verizon. I can send and recieve calls perfectly and my coverage for that does not seem to have changed. However, since this weekend I can no longer send or recieve text messages. I text more than I talk so this is very frustrating. I have tried *228 both options 1 and 2, to no avail. Can anyone tell me if this is a glitch that will correct itself or must I submit to the tedium that is always Customer Service calls??

If you did the *228 and its not working. You need to call customer care Early morning like now is best time. You will need to go to tech so they can look at the switch for you.
