I recently got the LG Dare with an upgrade and changed my plan. Some of my friends are telling me when they recieve a text from me it comes out like garbage when they try to read it. Example(adasdf?>:asdfa) just a series of characters, numbers, and letters. Does anyone know what could cause this? I had the LG 8700 before and it never did this. This happens at least five times a day to different people most are people with Verizon Service.

Some non-EMS handsets will not properly convert an EMS message to SMS. The message received by the non-EMS handset will be unreadable. Examples of EMS are using special fonts, a signature, smilie characters, and messges longer than 160 characters. I would suspect this is what is happening.
