No option to delete text messages from front of LG enV3

I just got my LG enV3 and am very happy with it. When I get a text message I can read it and reply to it using the phone (front) or the QWERTY keyboard (inside). However, it seems that I can only delete text messages by opening the phone and clicking "erase." I can't believe there is no option to delete from the front of the phone. Is there a setting that I'm not aware of? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hey,

You should really remove your phone number from the ' Device ' in your profile. We can all see it.......

I am/was just about to upgrade to the LG en3. Every Verizon rep I've talked with says LG is the "best" and Cnet gave it a good review. Could you clarify why you think new VZW LG phones are a bust? Many thanks.

I really like my enV3. The only issue I have is that I cannot delete text messages from the front of the phone. I hope that the next software update will address this problem. Having said that, what I like is the good battery time, very easy messaging (save the delete issue), good sound quality.  I don't use web services on the phone, so I can't speak to those features. Hope this helps.

Here is the answer to your question. This is a link concerning the T9 functionality of the new LG phones:

You can check on Howard forums for bugs for that device as well, and it will list several, it might be worth researching b4 you go out and buy it. I returned my touch mostly for the issue in the post above.

Here is the official EnV3 thread of HOFO:
