I am using Message+ on a Panasonic Toughbook that has an internal WWAN card that I connect to the internet with but the app doesn't recognize it as an internet connection unless I connect via hotspot or fixed wireless network. Is there a way to configure or direct what the application "sees" as an internet connection?

CHRHIC73,
Thanks for checking in with us on this. This is indeed an unusual situation. I haven't come across it in the past. To be clear, everything else works as normal with the internet connection through the card? Is your WWAN a Verizon based service or through another provider? Also, what exactly happens when you try to use it. If there's any sort of error or connection message, please provide.

Thanks for your reply!
Yes, everything else works as it is supposed to when connected through the
WWAN card which is on the Verizon network. I essentially get the connection
error icon in the application unless I am connected to a WiFi network.
