Message+ keeps crashing

My wife's Note 8 started crashing about 2 hours ago.  My Note 8 started about 30 minutes ago.

Tried that hours ago no help from them or Verizon as of yet.  Getting very frustrated

I have the same issue with my Pixel 2. App not working and keeps stopping when I try to open it.

I just went into the play store uninstalled and reinstalled. Working now. Tried that earlier no luck but it is now. Not sure if they fixed it but who knows

Will messages be lost if you uninstall and reinstall?

This morning everything seems to be fixed.  As of right now.  Hopefully it'll stay working

Mine is working now as well without having to reinstall the app. I wish someone from Verizon would have let us know that they were working on the issue.
