Couple things. The phone's Message + app will work over wifi. The web app does have issues - none of which are new. It's never been reliable, nor can it consistently stay connected for hours. Sometimes messages get stuck on SENDING. And other issues. My guess, just a badly written set of code for web access
The MS Store version is sort of OK WHEN it works. It has no refresh button. Lately on some days for a while it works normally. Some days, it won't stay in sync. Same with the old Windoze version.
I'm guessing that either VZW wants to maintain only the phone software, and chooses to break the others randomly. I know, a cynical view.
I am very dissappointed. Used the app on my PC for years. Got a new phone, and no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall on my Samsung or my SurfacePro, only half the message shows up depending on where you sent it from. My husband years ago gave up with his iPhone and Dell laptop for some reason. I thought maybe he just didn't have Sync selected. But alas, I have the same problem now. There is NO UNSUBSCRIBE option on my phone either. I'd love to fix this instead of making my entire network switch to Signal.
Seriously??? They are no longer supporting Message+ on Windows???? If so, Verizon Wireless should post that as the answer and close this thread instead of having us waste our time reading 35 pages of messages to find an answer to our problem that apparently will never be solved. Goodness gracious.
Verizon Wireless: Please give us an official company response.
From twitter, I see that while Verizon Wireless is currently promoting Message+ for desktop, they offer what they call a "Web Client" instead of a Windows app. It certainly took me more time than necessary to learn this. Now to see if it will work.
There's actually 3 clients you can use. Assuming they fix the Internet gateway between the apps and the SMS texting service.
This is really good feedback. I was told that it was broken but you're saying that everything is just fine on your MacOS install of Verizon Messages+, eh?
...that... makes this a bit more complicated.
