How to get phone app and PC to sync completely?

I had a Samsung S5 and it used to sync up mostly with my laptop but it wasn't perfect, but it was acceptable. I upgraded to a Samsung s9+ and now when I sent a message from my laptop, it does NOT show up on my phone (unless a recipient replies but only the new reply and not the original text sent). There are other more minor sync problems but this is the most pressing one.

The Message+ versions are the latest Phone: 6.6.5 and PC: 2.0.2.0

Hi there, Billiswild. I know how convenient it can be to have your device/messages sync to other devices. Has it ever worked properly with the new phone, or has it been this way since you got it? On your computer, have you tried to uninstall it from your computer, then reinstall and resync.
