Is there a direct way to post pictures from my Samsung Rogue to Facebook via the Facebook widget?

Hi, Cindy,

You can send pictures easily from your phone.  All you have to do is set it up in advance.  Log into your Facebook account from a PC.  Next, click on Account, then Account Settings.  Then, click on the Mobile tab.  At the top right of the Mobile tabbed section, you will see a link "Go to Facebook Mobile," click on that.  Under the section "Upload via Email" you will see a personalized email address that is strictly for your Facebook account.  Write that email address down and put it in your Samsung Rogue's address book.  That is the email address you send a picture to from your phone and it will automatically sent the picture to the Mobile folder on your Facebook pictures.  Viola...there you go.  Now you can post pictures from your phone.  Hope that helps,

Doc

Cindy-Sue,

You asked specifically about the Facebook widget - and since I don't use that app, I didn't reply right away.  StreetDoc's way does not directly use the widget, but it will work.  There are actually 3 different methods of posting pictures to Facebook, all via text message or email on your phone, and the widget or app is not needed at all.

I posted 3 pics (successfully!) to my Facebook account using each of the 3 methods.

I sent the first to 32665, and I put different text in the Subject and text fields of the message. Both showed up in the caption, Subject text as one line, Text as the second line.  (You need to register your phone with Facebook on the Mobile tab as Doc instructed so that when you text to 32665, Facebook recognizes the incoming message from your phone).

I sent the second to mobile@facebook.com - same results.

I sent the third to my personalized address@m.facebook.com - same results.

On my FB page, they showed up as one post, 3 photos. (I sent them within seconds of each other, so I suppose that's why they all showed up together.)

It looks like they all work, so use whichever is easiest for you! I have all three listed under my Facebook contact, but it doesn't seem to matter which is used, they all produced the same results.
