I've used Yahoo's messenger service to txt between a computer and the cell phones associated with my Verizon account. Lately, the service isn't working well. If I try to initiate a txt session from the Yahoo messenger service, often times the messages never make it to the cell phone(s). Does Verizon often a txt/chat client online so that I can use it instead of the Yahoo messenger service? Thanks, Paul

Most VZW phones can download an application called Mobile IM:
http://products.verizonwireless.com/index.aspx?id=messaging_im
It is a free download without a purchase price but you might get some minimal megabyte usage charges while transfering the application to the phone.
All messages sent with this program count as out-of-network SMS messages so if you're not on an unlimted Select or Talk & Text plan watch your usage to avoid overages.

You can also just "email" the phone >>000-000-0000@vtext.com<< (use the cellphone number) and they will receive the email in text form. it is limited to 160 chrs, and the text will be truncated without any warning.. keep it simple..Rusty
